The Wye String Ensemble
The Wye String Ensemble was founded in 2003 and consists of about 20 amateur string players at various levels who simply enjoy the challenge of playing Baroque and Classical Music. The group was founded by Alan Dunn and Murray Vaasjo. The Ensemble is under the very capable direction of Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Alberta Baroque Ensemble violinist Murray Vaasjo.
The group meets weekly on Saturdays for rehearsal and draws its members from Strathcona County and surrounding communities.
